Review of Jensen Beach, Florida

Most of the people appear to be on the red neck side. Very little is friendly about this area. I'm from the Midwest and this southern town that boast southern hospitality has nothing over the Midwest. I overheard a man telling a passerby, "I'd rather see my fruit rot on the ground than let you have it". Our farmers put out "help yourself" signs when they don't sell all their produce. I've worked in 4 different places and in every single one I've seen my coworkers bring in to work, excess produce from their gardens so that it wouldn't go to waste. They set it on a table in the lunch room with the usual "Help yourself". If you look or sound different, stay out of this area. It's extremely hot in the summer and the hurricane season is too long and very nerve wrecking. The cost of living is high and so is the unemployment. There is very little to do other than fishing. Why would anyone want to spend their hard earned money here?

It’s a retirement community enjoy the fishing. Then move on to your high paying jobs.

Outsiders who move to Jensen Beach either Love it or they should have never moved to Florida to begin with. Yes, Florida is hot. You should know that before moving here. No, not everyone is friendly. There are unfriendly people everywhere in America. Live with it as it’s not going away. Surround yourself around positive people to live a longer life. In Jensen we have a ton of things to do and fishing is one of them. People come here in droves because they love Jensen. Go boating, hang at the beach, walk the preserve, down town Jensens live music is really cool, walk down the river, go to the park pier and check out water fountain. Wow, I can’t even name all of the fun we have here. It’s incredible! God completely blessed Jensen Beach with beauty and beautiful people. We have empathy, love & kindness no matter where you are from. A big group of caring neighbors. We all watch out for each other.

WEATHER, WARMTH. The problem with the hospitality in SO Florida is NOT Floridians...it's the imports from the NE. They are RUDE and Arrogant. There is NO REAL FL left unless you go inland and talk about a LACK of paying jobs.........wow, hence why the migants have to e hired. FL is NOT known for it's high paying jobs. You want high pay, go back to the NE or CA, FL should be relaxed and slower than the NE...it's changing, beginning to look like the NE and all it's rudeness...
